First of all, let me apologize for getting this out a little late to you. I gave a speech today at Villanova University here in Pennsylvania on the importance of Blogging. It went a little longer than expected, but I rushed home, put on my mismatched pajamas, and am here delivering this week’s LoveBomb Mission to you guys.
This mission was sent in by several of our team members, and it’s a story that I’ve been following for a few weeks. Rob has spent his entire life helping others. He went to Dental school and one month before his graduation, he suffered a severe brain hemmorhage and a stroke. It was a result of undetected issues in his blood vessels that he had since birth. This leaves Rob with little hope of supporting his family, especially with the extreme therapy that is in front of him. (You can read the full story here: http://helpingthehales.blogspot.com/p/robs-story.html)
It’s been a little over a month since the stroke, and while Rob is out of ICU and doing better, he’s still struggling. His short term memory is weak, but he remembers his family, which is always a plus. But regardless, to go from just about to graduate school, (actually should have been graduating THIS month!) to having to do occupational therapy? Gosh, talk about a dream being snatched right from you.
Let’s band together like we do so well, and leave some kind words for Rob, his wife (Mercedi), and children (Mannix and Slade) on this post: http://helpingthehales.blogspot.com/2011/09/september-14th-day-31.html
PS: Thanks to everyone who partook in the Mini Mission for Bev last week. We delivered a PDF booklet to her son, Michael who is going to deliver it to Bev.
PPS: There are no words to describe how much I appreciate each and every single one of you for taking time out of your days to help others in need. You guys make such a big difference, and it’s an honor to be among you.
PPPS: TOMORROW IS FRIDAY.
